The island sits approximately 6 kilometers from Kisoro Town and is accessed by a short 10–15 minute boat ride from the mainland. Its scenic position offers panoramic views of the Virunga Volcanoes, including Mount Muhabura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabyinyo.
